Nepali citizens residing in Tibet Autonomous Region of China can apply for Nepali passport (e-passport) at the Consulate General of Nepal in Lhasa.
Please visit https://emrtds.nepalpassport.gov.np/ to apply online for e-passport. Applicants are required to duly fill up the application form therein. The date of appointment can be chosen during the online application. Applicants should be present at the Consulate General in person on the date of appointment.
Required Documents:
1. Printed ‘e-Passport Application Form’ (having QR code/Barcode) generated from https://emrtds.nepalpassport.gov.np/,
2. Citizenship certificate/Minor certificate,
3. Old (Current) passport (in case of renewal).
The fees for e-passport are as follows:
1. New or Renewal:
34 pages 600 RMB
66 pages 1000 RMB
2. Lost or Damaged:
34 pages 1200 RMB
66 pages 2000 RMB
Note: Minors below 10 years old will be charged half of the abovementioned fees.
