The Consulate General of Nepal, Lhasa, receives visa applications for tourists between 10 am to 12 am in the morning on office days (Monday to Friday).
The applicants are required to apply with a duly filled up visa application form, valid passport (at least with 6 month’s validity on the date of application), a photocopy of the passport and one pp-size photograph at the visa section of the Consulate General.
Multiple Entry Tourist visas are issued for the period of 15 days, 30 days and 90 days on the bases of the applicant’s request. Tourists can stay for the period of 150 days in a year (from January to December) in Nepal.
Visa can be collected the next day between 4 to 5 pm in the afternoon (or any other office day between 4 to 5 pm after the next day) after the submission of the application. Applicants applying on Friday will get their visa on Monday.
Tourist Visa fee is free for Chinese nationals from January 1, 2016.
Tourists visiting Nepal can get on-arrival visa on land ports and the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. However, tourists visiting Nepal through Tibet Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China (by land or air) are advised to get prior visa from the Consulate General.
